USA Shirt Is For Me - Johnson

Despite holding the possibility to feature for England and Jamaica, MK Dons forward Jemal Johnson says he would only consider suiting up internationally for the United States.
The American Abroad - who moved to England from New Jersey at age five - once had the chance to play for the U.S. Under-20 National Team during the run-up to the 2005 World Youth Championships in the Netherlands, but heeded then-manager Mark Hughes' advice to ignore the call-up and focus solely on his Blackburn career.
Now with Dons, who appear set to be promoted to League One, he looks back on the incident with regret.
"It wasn't because I didn't want to play for America," Johnson told Soccernet. "If your manager is telling you to do something at that age, you're going to tend to listen to what he says because you want to be involved in the set-up."
"Looking back on it now, I probably would have made a different decision, because it would have been a great opportunity for me."
