Aarhus GF midfielder Benny Feilhaber is facing a spell on the sideline due to a recurring knee problem, but will not know exactly for how long until a report on his weekend exam comes back from the doctor's office.
The U.S. international scored from the spot while going the distance in a 4-1 friendly romp over FC Midtjylland 11 days ago, but came up with what the club termed 'knee irritation' ahead of this past weekend's upset win at Danish champs Aalborg.
"I am still waiting the verdict on the MRI scan," Feilhaber told Soccer365. "Until then, we wont make any decisions."
As for the 2-0 upset of AaB - which saw club and country mate Jeremiah White notch the late insurance tally - the summer Derby County transplant says it's a signal of greater intentions from the club.
"It was a big win for us and we feel confident that we can keep growing from this win," said Feilhaber. "We definitely feel we can compete for some of the European spots this year and that's what we're hoping to do - top three, top four."
"We know its an ambitious goal, but we feel our team is very strong and should keep improving throughout the year."
While Feilhaber waits on his prognosis, White and seventh place AGF are preparing to host SønderjyskE on Sunday.
