FC Midtjylland defender Danny Califf was pulled at halftime of Monday night's 2-0 win over Vejle BK with a hamstring knock, but says that he should be ready to go when second place FC Copenhagen come to town this weekend.
The U.S. international will now put his feet up until Friday in an effort to give the nagging muscle a chance to recuperate.
"I have had a lingering thing in my hamstring," Califf told Soccer365 on Tuesday afternoon. "I felt it again after an awkward play, and decided it was better to play safe and come off than to try and push it."
"I plan to take it easy for the next few days and then hopefully train Friday and Saturday, and then play Sunday."
Since coming over from champs Aalborg in the offseason, Califf has played a regular role for the Black Wolves, who stand fourth in the SAS Liga through 13 matches.
