Hahnemann: MLS Return The Plan
2008-04-10 16:34:59
Reading keeper Marcus Hahnemann says that MLS placing an expansion team in his hometown of Seattle essentially ensures he will return to play in America before he's hung his gloves.
The American Abroad played for Colorado before hopping the pond to England, where he's also played for Fulham and Rochdale.
"I could commute from my cabin," Hahnemann cracked. "We have always thought eventually when we're done that we would go back, but you never know when that will be."
"We always talked about if a team did start up in Seattle then we'd want to go back at some stage - now there is going to be one."
"They are doing everything right, and eventually when Reading, don't want me any more and I get sick of driving on the wrong side of the road and buying petrol instead of gas then I might leave," he concluded.
