Adidas has released its new Gloro boot range, which fuses modern technology with a classic design, at an affordable price.
Gloro translates as ‘Glory’ in Esperanto, and the iconic Cope Mundial boot appears to have been the main inspiration. The boots are packed with the latest technologies, but have the look of a classic cleat.
There are a total of six colourways in the Gloro range. Five feature a black base colour, with the sole and the tongue in a secondary colour of white, red, blue, green or yellow. The Three Stripes on the side and the adidas logo on the heel are white on every boot.
The sixth colourway features a white base, with a black sole, tongue, Three Stripes and logo. All colourways also have the words ‘El Classico’ printed in gold on the tongue and inner sole.
Each boot is made with soft Kangaroo leather to give a comfortable fit. An additional synthetic material has been added in the midfoot and heel to provide increased stability and durability.
The fold-over tongue bears a striking resemblance to the Predator Mania 2002 cleat by adidas, with an elastic strap also running from under the tongue around the sole.
The boots are equipped with a ControlFrame outsole seen on the 11pro Adipure cleat, which is designed to improve comfort under the feet by equally distributed pressure on the studs. Further comfort is enabled by the Firm Ground sole plate, which uses smaller studs.
