adidas have kicked off the next phase of its #ThereWillBeHaters campaign with the reveal of the stunning new “Black Pack”.
Don’t be fooled by the name “Black Pack”. While blacked out cleats in the past have featured very little to set them apart from what their name suggests, these four new releases feature a level of intricacy that we haven’t seen on blacked out cleats before.
The intricacy comes in the form of designs on each of the four silos inspired by medieval characteristics, leading some to dub this as the “Knight Pack”. In bringing together these medieval designs and the all black look, adidas have ended up with some seriously good looking cleats.
The f50 adiZero has been given a French-inspired makeover in the form of the “Fleur de Lisse”, also featuring a prominent adidas logo imprinted on the toe box – a stark contrast to the brand’s general move away from the three stripes.
Tech wise, the cleat features a 3D dribbletex layer on the upper, allowing for better speed dribbling in all conditions as well as a specially designed grip texture, stud configuration, and two level traction to create the ultimate speed cleat.
A British Knight inspired Tudor Rose makes up the design of the Predator Instinct, though the graphic is limited only to the back of the cleats instep. This means that the Predator zones still dominate in the design of the cleat.
The Nitrocharge, adidas’ cleat designed for the box-to-box, all-action player has received a renaissance makeover. With a focus on stability and protection, the Nitrocharge features energy-sling technology and an increased area of protection pads and mesh.
Finally, the 11Pro, a cleat that combines classic comfort with new technology has taken on a new Ottoman twist. With a design inspired by the Janissary, the cleat offers a great fit and increased stability.
All great new additions to the #ThereWillBeHaters campaign, first launched at the beginning of the season and inspired by the controversial players who provoke hate from fans and opponents.
