The goalkeeper stands alone on the field. With his unique jersey, the #1 is frequently the difference between winning a match and losing it. The GK brings with him a different mentality and one that transcends rivalries and creates respect among goalkeepers.
With this in mind, adidas has launched the History Pack, a limited edition goalkeeper glove collection, in tribute of 3 of the game’s best goalkeepers.
The first design is dedicated to West Germany’s Toni Schumacher and the gloves he wore at the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Porto’s Iker Casillas will give the on-field debut against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League.

The 2nd is inspired by the 1998 FIFA World Cup winning run by France’s Fabien Barthez. Arsenal’s Petr Cech will wear the Barthez look.
And the final look highlights the gloves worn by Germany’s Oliver Kahn. Fellow German international Manuel Neuer will carry the torch with Kahn’s glove.
Only 1,400 pairs of the gloves have been produced and utilize the technology of the adidas Ace Zones Pro, featuring the Evo Zone Tech grip zone and seamless touch negative cut palm.
World Soccer Shop is one of the select retailers to carry the adidas History Pack Goalkeeper Gloves. The adidas ACE Pro 82 Glove inspired by Schumacher, adidas ACE Pro 97 Glove inspired by Kahn, and Barthez’ adidas ACE Pro 98 Glove all run $139.99. The line is also available at World Keeper Shop
