Messi has been the key in Argentina’s World Cup thus far. The Barcelona forward scored the game winners in the opening match against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Algeria. The only remaining summit to climb for the 27-year-old is to win the World Cup which would only solidify his place in the conversation on who the best player of all-time is.

This is not the first time adidas have paid tribute to Messi with a special edition colorway. A special adiZero in metallic silver with red and blue detailing was released when Messi set the all-time Barcelona scoring record with his 370th goal in March.

The 3-Stripes also made a limited edition cleat when Messi won an unprecedented 4th consecutive Ballon d’Or in 2012. That release was more classic with a black upper with gold sunburst detailing representing each trophy he won.

In addition to the contest to win these limited edition cleats, the WorldSoccerShop.com carries the adidas F50 adizero FG Messi (Battle Pack)
