A study just completed by the Daily Mail has shown that an astounding 48% of Premier League players are pulling on white cleats with only 15% opting for black cleats in a study conducted during the matches played between December 13th and 15th.

While is the new black and part of it has to do with the brands really promoting and pushing the white cleats.  Nike leads the way this winter with the recent release of the Shine Through pack.

Leicester helped push up the average for white cleats with nine of their starting XI in the color.  Stoke, Chelsea, Leicester and Everton, did not feature any players wearing black.

The times they are a changin’ and fast. White cleats made their major tournament debut back in the 1995 European Cup final when AC Milan’s Marco Simone was the odd ball wearing his white cleats.
