One of Europe’s oldest and most popular leagues returns this weekend. Spain’s La Liga is back and Soccer365 takes a look at the 2016/17 home jerseys of all the clubs.
Deportivo Alavés
Deportivo Alavés, newly promoted after finishing first in the Liga Adelante, the Spanish Second Division, last season, have a home jersey from Hummel in the club’s classic blue and white stripes. The jersey features a stylish polo collar with buttons.
Athletic Bilbao
Athletic Club Bilbao, a prestigious and historical club, updated their timeless red and white striped jerseys this season, courtesy of Nike. A simple yet effective take on the stripes, a with v-neck collar.

Atlético Madrid
The Red and White of Madrid, Atlético Madrid, will be moving from the famed Estadio Vincente Calderon at the end of this season, with a neat red and white striped jersey with blue trim and red sleeves by Nike. It’s a fresh look that’s sure to be among the best in the league.

FC Barcelona
The world-renowned FC Barcelona are set to defend the La Liga and Copa del Rey titles with a vibrant new strip, inspired by the 1991-92 European Cup winners. The famous blaugrana striped pattern has an added touch with tonal pinstripes on the body. Barça recently extended their jersey contract with Nike, good until 2026.

Real Betis
Real Betis have gone back to the basics with a smart green and white striped jersey from adidas. White crew neck collar also features a green trim. The Big Green will be looking for a spot in Europe by season’s end, and will look good doing it.
RC Celta de Vigo
The Celeste of Celta Vigo have once again reeled in adidas for their 2016/17 home shirt. Celta Vigo has their usual sky blue shirt, with blue and yellow added on as accent colors on the collar and sleeve cuffs. The sides have blue adidas three-stripe trim.
Deportivo de La Coruña
Galician side Deportivo de La Coruña have new uniforms courtesy of Lotto. Depor has a tailored take on their traditional blue and white shirt, which included a vintage polo collar. Lotto’s logo is placed in the center, with additional logos on the sleeves with black trim.
SD Eibar
The claret and blue from the Basque region, SD Eibar retain their traditional stripes for this season, in jerseys by kit provider PUMA. The claret is more prevalent in this season’s jersey, with claret colored panels on the sleeves. Avia serves as shirt sponsor for the Armeros (Gunners).
RCD Espanyol
Catalan club Espanyol have a modern and unique take on their traditional blue and white stripe shirt. For this season, Joma has given the Barcelona team representing the Meravellosa Minoria (Marvelous Minority). The blue center stripe has a gradient effect, fading out to white. A graphic with the nickname is on the right arm sleeve cuff. The Catalan flag appears on the back of the jersey, under the collar.

Granada CF
Granada CF and Joma are aiming to get out of La Liga’s cellar this season, with a brand new home jersey. The Red and white hooped jerseys for this Andalusian team are aided by blue trim on the sides and the collar and sleeve cuffs are blue with white and red trim. The sleeves are mostly white.

UD Las Palmas
Hailing from the Canary Islands, Unión Deportiva Las Palmas are entering their second season in the Spanish top flight with a net home jersey from Italian technical supplier Acerbis. Las Palmas has a yellow top with blue accents on the sides and cuffs. A stylish blue polo collar leaves a fancy effect for the Yellows. Another telling element of the shirts are the golden As that appear on both shoulders, with blue trim.

CD Leganés
Promoted side CD Leganés caught a lot of attention with their unique stratch n’ sniff badges on their home jersey this season. Los Pepineros’ (Little Cucumbers) badge has an aroma of freshly cut grass. Otherwise, this is a solid blue and white striped jersey by Joma, with a standard v-neck collar.

Málaga CF
Málaga CF and Nike released the 2016/17 home kit for the sky blue and whites. The Anchovies take their striped shirts and given them a new dimension, with a gradient, as solid white blends to sky blue stripes. The club names are labelled on the shoulders, and the collar is a v-neck style.
CA Osasuna
Osasuna, the Pamplona-based club, have returned to La Liga after a season in the second division. The Reds and adidas are suiting for another season full of vigor, and this season’s jersey is a standard red jersey with blue v-neck collar, sleeve cuff trim, and three-stripe trim on the sides. The backside has the coat of arms of Navarre, the region where Osasuna is based.
Real Madrid
Inspired by the club’s 1902 jersey, Real Madrid boasts a clean and elegant shirt befitting of the kings of Europe. This season’s slightly off-white is supplemented by dark blue, as it appears on the sides as trim and sleeve cuffs, and also on the polo collar. A definite instant classic from adidas.

Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad, the Royals from the Basque Country, have a pleasing blue and white striped jersey from adidas for this season. Presented with more white than blue, the strip features a modern v-neck collar, the side piping has three-stripe trim, and the striped pattern has a white center stripe. The sleeve cuffs have blue trim.
Sevilla FC

Real Sporting de Gijón
Sporting Gijón have switched kit suppliers from Kappa to Nike this season. To reflect this change, The red-and-whites have been given a standard striped jersey, with a contrasting blue swoosh on the chest.
Valencia CF
Continuing a trend of neat and presentable adidas jerseys, Los Che‘s 2016/17 jersey follows suit. Orange crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs are met with thin black trim, for a tasteful combination. Orange three-stripe trim on the sides run through to the hem. Overall, another clean look for Valencia.

Lastly, the Yellow Submarine of Villarreal are bracing for a strong 2016/17 campaign with a new dynamic take on their yellow shirts. navy trim is present on the collar, and sleeve cuffs, as mesh and sublimated effects on the body gives makes this jersey from new provider Joma a winner.
