The stage is set this weekend for what promises to be an epic 2016/17 Bundesliga season. The curtain raises as Germany’s elite league takes center stage for their opening weekend, and Soccer365 will show every home jersey for all eighteen teams.

FC Augsburg


This Bavarian club went back to wearing white with red tops at home this season after wearing a solid red strip previously. FC Augsburg’s 2016/17 home jersey by Nike has a standard yet effective look, with a retro v-neck collar and matching sleeve cuffs with a thick shoulder stripe that connects the collar to the cuffs, all in red.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen


Perennial title threat Bayer Leverkusen have swapped out technical supplier adidas for Jako. Another notable change is the return of a predominantly black shirt with red horizontal stripes, with a red/black striped gradient effect on the upper chest. LG was also replaced as main sponsor, with Barmenia Versicherungen taking the spot.

FC Bayern Munich


Few clubs have the global appeal and stardom that FC Bayern possess. FCB are stacked with talent, and have an absolutely clean home kit courtesy of adidas. A red jersey with white adidas trim on the sides and buttoned polo collar blends football with fashion excellently. Darker red pinhoops on the body completes the jersey.

Borussia Dortmund


The strongest opposition to Bayern’s dominance domestically, Borussia Dortmund have gone for a striped look in their traditional yellow and black colors this season. This BVB PUMA shirt for 2016/17 has black stripes and panels with yellow trim within the stripes.

Borussia Mönchengladbach


Northern power Gladbach are looking to reach the success the club attained in the 1970s with berths to the Champions League. Die Fohlenelf (The Foals’ Eleven) have a black and white hooped jersey from Kappa this season, with a diagonal white striped effect on the black hoops, like a sash. Green is absent from this shirt, as white and black are the only prevalent colors.

SV Darmstadt 98


Tiny Darmstadt looks ready for a second helping of top-flight Bundesliga football with a tonal blue effort by Jako. diagonal stripes in navy with a gradient effect over a mainly royal blue strip is a unique look for the Lilies. The modern collar and matching sleeve cuffs are also in navy, with the sleeves having little white Jako logos like on Bayer 04’s shirt.

Eintracht Frankfurt


A relegation playoff with FC Nurnburg couldn’t keep away SGE from the top flight. The Eagles of Eintracht Frankfurt have traded in black and red stripes for white and black stripes, as red joins in as a tertiary trim seen on the collar and Nike swoosh on the chest. Krombacher also returns as shirt sponsor.

SC Freiburg


SC Freiburg returns to the Bundesliga after winning 2. Bundesliga last season. And with the promotion comes a bevy of changes for Freiburg, including Hummel supplying the jerseys instead of Nike. The latest jersey is red with black slanted stripes, and black sleeves with Hummel’s signature “bumblebee” design pattern trimmed in red.

Hamburger SV


Hamburg takes its turn on tradition with a simple yet pleasing white and red home jersey from adidas. Featuring a retro-feeling modern v-neck collar, red trim occupies the sleeves and three stripes on the sides. The body’s design has a tonal white horizontal hooped pattern. A blue inset can be seen at the back of the jersey, with “Nur der HSV” (“Only the HSV”) in white text.

Hertha BSC


Hertha Berlin has a slick new Nike jersey using the template used by several national teams at the Euros. Traditional blue and white stripes on the body has a modern touch, with tonal stripes in the larger blue stripes. Navy sleeves gives the jersey a more distinct appearance, as the blue shades stand out.

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim


A big time club from a quaint village, Hoffenheim just got out of the Bundesliga relegation zone last season. This time around, Hoffenheim’s home jersey has removed red altogether, with two shades of blue present, like Hertha. Lotto supplied a jersey that has a two-toned wishbone collar, navy sleeves and diagonal pinhoops.

FC Ingolstadt 04


Die Schanzer will bring the passion to the Bundesliga in their new adidas red home jerseys for the club’s second season in the top flight. Two tones of red are present, with a darker red on the collar, sleeves and shoulders, and on a faded diagonal sash. White three stripes are on the shoulders, with white trim on the collar and hem band at the bottom.

1. FC Köln


Vintage is the best way to describe Cologne’s new 2016/17 home jersey. Erima has given a Billy Goats a fresh white jersey with a v-neck collar, slightly tonal stripes and red Erima E logos placed lower on the sleeves.

RB Leipzig


Preparing for their maiden voyage into the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig has a new strip from Nike that is very similar to most other clubs in the Red Bull family. Die Roten Bullen (The Red Bulls) have a white jersey with red trim on the collar and sides, like the other RB clubs wearing Nike. The logo is noticeably smaller than on most other Red Bull shirts.

1. FSV Mainz 05


Mainz and Lotto have come together and produced a solid red home kit for the mainstays. 05 has a polo collar, and white sleeve cuffs with Lotto’s logos on each arm. This Carnival club retains its shirt sponsor, as Kommerling returns for a second season.

FC Schalke 04


The Royal Blues’ shirt has a elegant look for this season ahead, as adidas has supplied Schalke 04 with a neat jersey. A fashionable strip, with navy faux-retro collar, white and navy trim on the sleeves and white adidas three-stripes as piping on the sides under the arms.

SV Werder Bremen


For the first time in club history, Werder Bremen will be wearing hoops at home. With their light green shade for the season, Bremen will have white hoops on the body that fade to green using mini hoops within the white stripes. Orange trim on the collar and swoosh on the chest, with black trim on the sides finish off this unique top for this prestigious northern club.

VfL Wolfsburg


Our tour of trikots throughout Germany has made its last stop with Wolfsburg. The Wolves are now also wearing Nike this season, after a couple seasons with Kappa. They’ll be wearing a beaming bright lime green home strip this season, with a darker green tone on the collar and cuffs.
