As the top seed in Group A, the USMNT knows their path (venues and matchdays) to the 2016 Copa America elimination round but the team’s they will face are still an unknown. That will all change on Sunday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET when the 2016 Copa America Centenario Draw will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico join the USMNT as top seeds in the other groups and the draw will place the remaining 12 teams in the 4 groups and give a glimpse at what will become the Group of Death and the key matchups that could make or break a team’s push for the final.

The 2016 Copa America will be the biggest men’s soccer tournament hosted in the United States since the 1994 FIFA World Cup.  It is the first time the CONMEBOL championship has been held outside of South America and will be the largest tournament with 16 teams, all 10 South American teams along with 6 teams from CONCACAF.

32 matches will be played across 10 venues within the USA. The tournament kicks off in Santa Clara, CA on June 3rd with the host nation in action. The tournament’s final will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on June 26th.
